Dr Mary's Retirement
It is with a heavy heart we announce that Dr Drijfhout (Dr Mary to many of you) is hanging up her stethoscope and retiring from Castletown Medical Centre at the end of March 2024.
Since joining our practice in 2014, Dr Mary has worked tirelessly to improve the health of the local community, and her clinical expertise and wisdom have benefitted the countless patients she has cared for during her time here. Dr Mary has been an outstanding GP, caring for multiple generations of patients with great understanding and compassion. She has contributed immeasurably to the progressive development of our Practice over the past 10 years and especially towards the palliative care of our patients, always with the utmost of empathy and commitment.
Dr Mary says 'It has been a privilege to be part of a dedicated team of talented colleagues and to serve the good people of Castletown. I shall leave with fond memories of my time at Castletown Medical Centre'.
We’re sure that our patients will want to join our team in sending our huge thanks to Dr Mary, and wishing her a very happy retirement. She has been the best colleague we could ever have wished for and will be much missed by all of us here – and we’re sure by the many patients she has looked after over the years.
