Patient Participation Group
Why we would like to invite you to join our Patient Participation Group
A Patient Participation Group (PPG) consists of a group of patients who try to make a positive contribution to the services offered to patients at the surgery. The PPG can meet 2 or 3 times a year or we can simply contact you by email if you prefer not to meet!
The objectives of the PPG are:
- To highlight any services that could be improved
- To develop a communication between patients and the practice
- To promote health events and awareness days
- To influence the provision of local Health and Social care
- To make the practice better for you and others
If you would like to join our PPG, please send your details in an email to cmc@gov.im

Getting Your View
The group would like to contact patients on occasion by email and/or text so that they can obtain the views of the widest group of patients possible. We would like to obtain your email address and mobile phone number to do this. Please complete the Patient Contact Form to provide your consent for this.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you asking patients to join Castletown Medical Centre’s PPG?
We would like to be able to email or meet with patients and carers occasionally to ask them questions about the Practice and how well we are doing to identify areas for improvement.
Will the questions you ask me be medical or personal?
We will only ask general questions about the Practice, such as short questionnaires.
Will my doctor see this information?
This information is purely to contact patients to ask them questions about the Practice, how well we are doing and ensure changes that are being made are patient focused. If your doctor is responsible for making some of the changes in the Practice they might see general feedback from patients.
Who else will be able to access my contact details?
Your contact details will be kept safely and securely and will only be used for this purpose and will not be shared with anyone else.
How often will you contact me?
Not very often … maybe a couple of times a year.
Do I have to leave my contact details?
No, but if you change your mind, please let us know.
What if I no longer wish to be on the contact list or if I leave the Practice?
We will ask you to let us know by email if you do not wish to receive further messages.
