Nurses

The Practice Nurses are available from Monday to Friday by appointment only. Amongst many other things, our practice nurses deal with diabetes and chronic heart disease reviews. They also administer child & travel vaccinations, routine BP checks, blood tests, new patient checks, HRT reviews and contraceptive pill checks. Kate Power will carry out routine checks on patients with asthma and chronic obstructive airways disease. The Practice Nurses can also offer advice on smoking cessation, weight and healthy lifestyle.

Our phlebotomist runs the blood clinic 3 mornings per week. We do not offer a walk in service. All appointments must be booked in advanced.

Practice Management

Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. She manages all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. She is available to help with any administrative or non-clinical aspects of your health treatment. If you have any suggestions or complaints then please do not hesitate to either write to her or ask to meet her.

Reception Team

Our reception team are the backbone of our surgery supporting the clinical and management team in meeting the needs of our patients. They are your initial contact point for general enquiries. Our reception team warmly welcome patients upon arrival. They book appointments, deal with new patient registrations, process repeat prescriptions, scan documents into patient records, answer incoming phone calls, to name only a few of their varied tasks. The receptionists are here to help you. Their job is very demanding so please be patient. Our reception team are bound by the same confidentiality regulations as the GPs and Practice Nurses.

The health visitor is based at the Medical Centre and she can be contacted on 686942.
